Southeast Coast provides general travel, beach, surf and coastal information. It is not an emergency, navigation, medical, legal or professional safety service. Call the appropriate emergency service when immediate help is needed.

Conditions and access can change

Weather, waves, currents, water quality, beach flags, closures, parking, fees, lifeguard coverage and local rules can change without notice. Verify current information with lifeguards, beach patrol, emergency officials, park staff and the responsible public agency before traveling or entering the water.

Live tools and planning scores

Wave Report, Coastal Conditions and Beach Trip Planner outputs organize public data and editorial guidance. Offshore buoy observations do not measure breaking surf at the beach. Scores and interpretations are planning aids, not safety ratings, forecasts or guarantees. Missing data must not be interpreted as favorable conditions.

Maps, cameras and external services

Maps, routing, forecasts, public data, live cameras and third-party links remain under the control of their providers. A link does not guarantee availability, accuracy, endorsement or the quality of a business or service. Camera images may be delayed, offline or visually misleading.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for matching activities to your ability, equipment and group, following posted rules and changing plans when conditions warrant. Never rely on this site alone for swimming, surfing, boating, fishing, beach driving or other risk-sensitive decisions.

Intellectual property

Site text, branding, original photography, original video and original graphics are protected by applicable law. You may link to public pages and make ordinary personal use of the site, but you may not copy or republish substantial site content or branding without permission except as allowed by law.

Availability and changes

We may correct, update, suspend or remove content and features as sources, technology and editorial needs change. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every third-party source will remain available.
